Information we collect and why

When you use our Medicare comparison tool, we collect the prescription details and comparison choices you enter, including medication names, strengths, forms, quantities, ZIP code, benefit year, subsidy selections and pharmacy preferences. We use them to look up prices, compare options and produce your results. These details and results may reveal information about your health or treatment.

If you request an emailed report, we collect your email address to deliver it and maintain the related communication record. For a more precise pharmacy search, you can enter an address or allow your device to provide its location. You can instead use a ZIP code.

We also receive technical information, including IP address, browser type, activity and request identifiers, to operate and protect the tool and review the quality of comparisons. These records are not necessarily anonymous. Information comes from you and your device, our plan, pharmacy and pricing sources, and, when you work with an advisor, information you provide during that work.

How we use and retain your records

We use and store your information to provide comparisons, deliver requested reports, support your planning work with us, and maintain service, communication and compliance records. We retain records according to their purpose and applicable recordkeeping requirements. Comparisons used in a client plan, related communications and records subject to a legal hold may need to be retained after you stop using the tool or end your relationship with us. A request to stop marketing does not remove records we are required to keep.

We record when a comparison is completed and when a report email is requested or accepted for sending. For report requests, that internal record includes a one-way match of your email address. It can still be linked to you; it is not anonymous. These completion records do not include your medications, pharmacies, plan choices or costs, and are not sent to advertising platforms.

If you separately choose planning follow-up, we use your contact information and interest in our services for our own follow-up. That choice is optional and is not required to receive a comparison or report. You can withdraw it by contacting us or using the unsubscribe option in a marketing email. We do not use your medication list to select marketing messages.

Who processes your information

We use providers that operate our website and infrastructure, look up medication prices, find locations and pharmacies, create reports, deliver email and store records. They receive information needed for those functions. For example, pricing services receive medication and location details; email delivery providers process your address and the report being delivered. Your email provider also receives the report you ask us to send. We may disclose records when required by law or legal process.

Our other website pages use advertising and measurement providers, as described in our general Privacy Policy. Advertising tags and session recording are excluded from the prescription comparison tool. We do not sell the consumer health data collected through this tool or provide it to business partners for their own lead generation. A coupon link opens the coupon provider’s website, where that provider’s privacy notice applies.

Your privacy choices and requests

Contact [email protected] or (757) 664-9400 to request access, correction or deletion, withdraw consent, or ask us to review a response to a privacy request. You do not need a website account. Please do not include your medication list in your initial message; we will arrange any verification or secure exchange needed.

We will verify requests appropriately and respond under applicable law. If an applicable recordkeeping obligation or other lawful exception limits deletion, we will explain the limitation and address the rest of your request. Withdrawing consent stops future uses covered by that consent; it does not undo earlier processing or remove records we must retain.
